There is no cookie banner, and that is not an oversight

This site sets no cookies. Not necessary ones, not analytics ones, not advertising ones. Because nothing is stored that the law requires consent for, asking for consent would be theatre — and a banner claiming to manage preferences that do not exist would be a false statement about what the site does.

We have kept this page at a predictable address anyway, because reviewers and visitors go looking for it.

The one thing stored on your device

If you use the light/dark switch in the header, your choice is saved in your browser's localStorage under the key agg-theme, with the value light or dark.

That is not a cookie. It is never sent to our server or to anyone else, it is readable only by pages on this domain in that one browser, and its whole purpose is to remember a preference you deliberately expressed. It is strictly necessary in the ordinary sense of the phrase: without it the site cannot honour the choice you just made.

To remove it, clear site data for this domain in your browser settings, or use a private window. Nothing breaks; the page falls back to following your operating system's light or dark setting.

What is not here

No Google Analytics. No Google Tag Manager. No Meta pixel. No advertising network. No A/B testing tool. No session recorder. No heatmap. No chat widget. No embedded video player. No web font loaded from a font network — the three typefaces on this site are subset and served from this domain.

You can check all of this yourself: open your browser's network panel and reload. Every request should be to this domain.

If that ever changes

If this site ever adds analytics or advertising, three things happen in the same edit: a consent mechanism appears that defaults to denied, this page is rewritten to name the vendor and the purpose, and the privacy policy's effective date changes. We would not add tracking and leave these pages saying otherwise.
